What really is NIRVANA?
Is it the print on a shirt we usually see, a bar located in Buendia or a band?
This is one word uttered by Sir Alex Lim before he resigned and left Advantek, at once when we were eating at the canteen with him, he said Nirvana, told that it is the highest form of happiness… And is it that facile to achieve?
As per Merriam Webster Online, NIRVANA is the final beatitude that transcends suffering, karma and samsara and is sought especially in Buddhism through the extinction of desire and individual consciousness, or a place of or state of oblivion to care, pain or external reality, lastly, a goal hoped for but apparently unattainable..Let’s delve into the meaning given by Sir Alex, highest state of happiness.. And how we could achieve it?? Hmmppppf, tough question?
Simple!!! Just be yourself, stay fulfilled and satiable and be happy for the achievements of others. Don’t get envious of what others have had and had accomplished, be open-minded to everything and always be ready to accept failures, blunders and mistakes while at the same time, learning through them!!
I’ve known one whom I can say will not be able to reach NIRVANA, i say so because everytime others achieved and accomplished something, she gets envious and even say anything negative about a person or the achiever. I think this isn’t the right attitude for us to achieve this state and i am sure she will find it hard to achieve it. If as early as now she will learn to accept everything and every achievements of all people, she will surely can have NIRVANA..
