Filipino Tradition

Busy Holidays…

December 23 was my last working day before Christmas. Slated events were lined up this vacation. And thankfully, i was able to attend them all.

Not only i was the one who’s busy, everyone of us during this time takes time to attend to all the slated reunions, gatherings, get-together with our kins, friends and classmates.

Christmas Holiday in the Philippines i would say is different from other countries, we spend a lot during this time. No matter how expensive the amount of money we spend, so long as we give, that’s all, it’s the consolation we receive. It’s once a year that’s why we are taking the opportunity.

This is one of the momentous gathering we had during holidays, though we were few, we can say that we all had fun and enjoyed our moments with old friends together. This was at DJ Resort in Tiaong Quezon, last December 28, 2008. Just imagine, that month, napakalamig, but we were able to endure the cool breeze, and were able to swim. Kaya lang mga mahihina ata ang baga ng mga friends ko kaya ako at si Reynolds lang ang nag-swim. Anyway, kahit kami lang, andun din naman sila by the poolside to chat at para sa picture taking.

This swimming was actually a treat of Ruth, who arrived from Qatar. Konti lang naman share namin dito. Pero kahit na, at least natupad yung wish namin na reunion!! Reunion nang masasabi yun because for a decade, eto pa din kami, bonded at nagkikita kita somehow!!

We are looking forward sa mas madami pang gatherings and hope next time mas madami ang umatend, no curfew….
