We are fortunate that we come here in Utah and be able to witness how some US States celebrate their Independence Day. Since last week, we were already seeing some tents being installed in the open area just nearby Aetna and few steps away from Residence Inn, the hotel we used to stay. And just last night, July 3, 2009, I was overwhelmed when i saw a fireworks display from apart, viewable outside the window of my room and unsatisfied i went outside and took he video of it.
We are again to witness lots of programs today which will start at 6pm, by a parade. Actually the celebration started by a Flag Raising Ceremony at 7:00 am, followed by some Daytime Events like Youth Arts Festival, Family Fire Safety, Rides and Activities, some vendor and booths and youths performing at the stage. And at 11:00 am we went to that area to witness what’s happening there and then as we passed by the road, there are blankets rolled all over the grassy area in preparation for more events at night time. After the parade people will be regaled by The Salamanders and Carolina Ran at 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm respectively, afterwhich, the Annual Sky Concert Fireworks Display will happen at 10:00 om right beside Residence Inn, at Sandy City Hall. So this means that we don’t need to have some blankets to lay on, we can view it at the hotels parking lot.
