This may be a late one, but better late than never. Every one of us who makes an extraordinary act for the country or for anyone else deserves to be called a hero. In fact, there is an innate hero heart in all of us, we may not notice it but we are doing our heroic acts any time unexpectedly. We don’t need to shed blood like what other heroes did just to be called a hero. I believe our simple way of helping others, extending our hands and lending our shoulders are enough for us to become one – so long as we’re doing it whole-heartedly.
The latest, two of our countrymen brought honor to the country, Manny Paquiao again, although he did not win the fight, he was still the hero and the winner for us Filipinos. He did his best, it was just a time of luck for his opponent Marquez. Whatever gloves he wore, and whatever shoes he don even it it looks like asics wrestling shoes, he is still the hero for all of us. And what more admirable is that, he was able to help others by sharing some millions of pesos to the victims of typhoon Pablo.
Another hero for us is Janine Tugonon who won the first runner up in 2012 miss Universe. She claimed to be the one, answered the question very smartly and she was oozing with confidence the whole competition. You are the Miss Universe 2012 in our heart Janine!
And the most heroes – those who are risking their lives to save others lives – to save the victims of typhoons that recently hit the country. You are all great HEROES!
And I am also a hero in my own little way – you can be too 🙂 There’s a hero, if you look inside your heart…..
