2017 Holy Week

And so the long vacation for Holy Week is over!

Back to work!

Back to normal and regular routine.

Let me just share you a bit of how we had our Holy Week in Pampanga, specifically in Mexico.

On Maundy Thursday, we did the Visita Iglesia. We visited 7 churches but only had a chance to enter two because our little one fell into sleep on our 3rd. So I just had two pictures.

Sto. Domingo Parish Church – where JD was too amazed because the Earth is revolving. This was the prettiest she said.
We also saw some guys who were doing the penitence – hitting their back and bled.

And on Good Friday, we went to San Fernando to witness the “Tira Bakal”, a violent re-enactment of the Passion of Christ. Here’s the short video – hover over the picture and click to see the video then click play.

I remember in Tiaong, we didn’t play any music on Good Friday not even the washburn acoustic electric guitar at MF’s, we were not doing any household chores because Christ is dead, if we get wounded, it will take time to heal (old saying). But….. we were having some picnic in the nearby river with the relatives and went swimming.

So that was it… not much…. We just stayed at home and took a lot of respite with family.

Till then,
